Vets fees

When taking out your horse insurance, one of the main obvious reasons for cover is protection against the large vet fees you may face in the event of your horse being injured or falling ill. Horse insurance from Insure My Pet provides you with a choice of three covers against vet fees, so dependent on how much cover you feel you would need; we have the cover for you.

By taking out a horse insurance policy with Insure My Pet, you can feel reassured that in the event of an unfortunate accident or your horse becomes sick, you will be financially protected against any large vet fees, you will also have the reassurance that you can give your horse the veterinary care it requires, and put its health first.

Three options are available for veterinary cover with Insure My Pet, giving you levels of cover you feel would be required in the event of your horse suffering an injury. Option 1 offers £3,000 worth of vet fees per year, option 2 and 3 both provide up to £5,000 worth of cover per incident, and up to £10,000 in an insurance year.

Option 2 and 3 of veterinary cover are the same, however if you are willing to pay a higher excess in the event of you requiring vet treatment, option 3 is the cover you should take out. This will give you a higher level of cover than option 1 but the premium will be just as competitive. This is a good idea if you just want the reassurance.

Our horse insurance vet fees also include specialist treatments which may be recommended by a veterinary surgeon, and in the event your horse needs to be transferred to a veterinary hospital, transportation fees will be paid. Livery fees whilst in care will also be paid for, up to a maximum of £500 whilst treatment is carried out.
